One thing about us is we will never ever split up a truly bonded pair…A couple days ago we popped over to Harbor shelter to go get a different dog, but once we got there we learned she had been adopted (YAY!). So, we decided to walk the halls and rescue someone else.
We came across two terrified little pups both hiding in the back of the same kennel, trembling in fear. The shelter staff told us they had come in together and had been there a while with no interest. We started by meeting one outside the kennel, and he was super withdrawn and scared. We asked if we could bring them out together, and so they brought the other little pup from the kennel out to the play yard.
Both dogs immediately lit up. They started engaging with us and had massive smiles on their faces and helicopter tails! It was abundantly clear these dogs did not just ‘come in together’, but they were extremely bonded.
We couldn’t stomach the thought of someone coming in and adopting one and leaving the other. So, even tho we went for one dog, we left with two!
Meet Sherlock and Watson, the most adorable pair of little boys. They are young adults and as sweet as can be. We can’t wait to find them the home they deserve, TOGETHER 💙
