On an ‘adorableness scale’ of 1-10, Pesto ranks 11. This young golden boy came to us from our rescuer in Turkey. She pulled him from a shelter where he was hiding in fear in the back corner. She scooped him up and took him home, let him decompress and settle in, and he blossomed into an amazing pup. 

Pesto is very much still a puppy. He is a higher energy dog that needs daily walks and playtime, and can settle nicely afterwards. Ideally Pesto would have another playful dog in the home as playing with other dogs is one of his favorite pastimes. He also enjoys going on walks and playing fetch. He carries soft toys (and socks 😂) around with him and hides them, and is fan of all toys. Pesto is a very happy boy who loves everyone he meets. Even though he’s on the small size for a golden (about 50 lbs) he doesn’t know his size and can knock a small child down accidentally. 

Pesto, like most goldens, LOVES treats and food and can’t get enough. Being food motivated makes training easy and fun, and he has been learning some basic commands very quickly. He is eager to please. He’s also a big cuddle bug and wants to be on the couch with his people getting love.
