This handsome teddy bear of a dog is Puma! He came into rescue after being found as a stray. Puma is 86 lbs and approximately 4-5 years old.
Puma is a wonderful boy. He is a lower to moderate energy boy who loves his walks and is great on leash. He is living with a young child and enjoys the attention from humans of all ages. He gets along fine with other dogs as well. Puma is learning that toys are fun to play with. We believe he would like swimming as he did venture into the pool at his first foster home.
Puma has been a fabulous houseguest at his foster home. He is ok being left alone for a couple of hours, hasn’t had any potty accidents, and has left the foster’s belongings intact. Of course in any new environment, he will need to learn the appropriate place to go potty and be rewarded for going there. He craves affection and is a laid back boy.
When he first came into rescue Puma had very bad ear infections which resulted in a few seizures. Our vet has treated his ears and they are doing much better. Puma is on an anti-seizure medication that we will begin tapering down. On the medicine he has not had seizures, but there is a chance he will be on anti-seizure medication for life.
