Nikki is the sweetest and friendliest 9 year old German Shepherd mix female, and she weighs 75 pounds. She absolutely loves people, always has a big smile on her face, and is very affectionate. She is one of those dogs that just loves to be at her person’s side. Nikki is housebroken and crate-trained, but she needs a home with no other dogs. She is excellent on leash, walking right by her person, and behaves very well around the public. She is a trained dog – she knows “Heel”, “Sit”, “Stay”, “Come” and “Down”. Also, she has done an agility course and loved it. Nikki is great in the car - she has no problem jumping into the back of a SUV - and also does well during grooming.

Nikki was owned by an elderly man who had saved her from one of the high-kill shelters in 2015. She was his heart and soul. Sadly, her owner had a terminal illness and passed away a few years ago, and Nikki has been looking for a forever home ever since.

Nikki is a very gentle, kind soul, very calm in the house and a velcro dog that follows her person around. She will be a wonderful companion for someone who is older and home a lot.

What type of home does Nikki need?

• A household with or without kids, as she loves everyone

• Someone who is home a lot

• A home where she can be an only-dog

• Since she is very agile and can jump, a yard that is enclosed by a min. 6-ft. tall fence
