Parker is a sweet and playful 4-year old Cocker Spaniel mix. He was originally rescued out of a South L.A. high kill shelter, kept in a cage/kennel for over a year, then turned into a San Diego shelter. This does not stop him from being a super nice dog. He is a tripawd (3 legs), but it does not slow him down a bit. He is able to climb stairs and run around to play. He loves to cuddle up and snuggle. He is content to sleep next to you as you watch tv, read, or work.
Parker is fostered with cats, who he has decided are fun to chase after. He may be best to not live with cats, not that he will hurt them, but the frequent chasing is not fun for the cats. He has interacted well with both small and big friendly dogs at the park, but he would prefer to be the only dog in his hown home. A home without young children may be best.
He is smart, sweet, and eager to please, he just needs someone with patience and experience to deal with his initial fearfulness. Someone that has experience working with dogs would be best for him, as he just needs time to adjust to his new home!
